‘Put down the weight of your aloneness and ease into the conversation. The kettle is singing even as it pours you a drink, the cooking pots have left their arrogant aloofness and seen the good in you at last. All the birds and creatures of the world are unutterably themselves. Everything is waiting for you.’ ~ David Whyte
Put your feet up and allow yourself to ease into this conversation with me and my good friend (and fellow coach) Matt Hall as we explore what it means to not die wondering and the importance of whether we’re actually trying to answer the questions we really want to answer in our lives!
We talk about the ‘proximal development’ stretch zone, resting in the comfort zone, giving up the need to ‘fight’, our need for growth, exhaustion and our real need for wholeheartedness, our own mortality, trying to answer the questions that have no right to go away and the fact that life is simply too short not to talk about big sh*t! All whilst Matt’s 7 year old daughter tries to steal his attention to go get her Friday night pizza!
I don’t know what point we’re trying to prove on this podcast but it’s seriously curious nonetheless.
